Hi! My name is Mackenzie Ann and I am a lady in waiting. What is a lady in waiting you ask? A lady in waiting is a daughter of the Lord who is in the stage of waiting for her future husband and becoming all that her Heavenly Father wants her to be. She is in the process of becoming her full potential. She is in the midst of surrender to our loving God so that He will write her story and bring Him glory. She prays for her future husband and is focusing on becoming the godly wife that is made for her godly husband.
I created this blog to encourage other daughters of the King to rely on God’s promises and to know that they are not alone in their struggles. Everyone has their own trials they face and a community of girls to support each other is really important in one’s walk of faith. This site is a safe place where you can share your burdens, not be judged, and to be prayed over.
When creating this blog, I asked God what is one word that describes my testimony. “Waiting” kept popping up in my head. All of my life I have been waiting for the man I would love and who would love me in return. I’ve been waiting to feel movement in my stomach of the blessing God has put there. I have been waiting to hear the little “pittle-pattles” of feet running around a home that I took care of.
I am a Lady in Waiting. And that’s OK.
Some have asked the meaning behind my logo. Since the beginning, I wanted God in the midst of this blog and I wanted Him in control. I wanted to give Him credit because I would not be able to do this without Him so I put a Bible in the center because God’s Word is what guides my very being. I put a cup of coffee because a) I’m obsessed with coffee lol and b) it gives off a cozy atmosphere which I want my blog to have. There is a cross in the middle because I want Jesus in the center of it all.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (ESV). This verse is apart of my logo because it describes my goal for this blog: with other young ladies with the same calling, to focus on our relationship with the Lord and our spiritual growth while we wait for the husband and families we desire.
You are welcome here. You are special. But most importantly, you are not alone and the Holy Spirit is always by your side. This blog is here to remind you of that and to provide a little fun in your waiting journey.
